Per Un Pugno Nell'occhio is a spaghetti western - parody with Franco & Ciccio which Michele Lupo in 1964 as a "response" to A Fistful of Dollars staged, but received no performance in Germany.

action

Franco and Ciccio are two peace-loving arms dealers who arrive in the village of Saint Genevieve just across the American-Mexican border; there they hope to be able to sell a lot of rifles, because the city is full of bandits and crooks.

Saint Genevieve, however, turns out to be a very quiet place; Franco and Ciccio decide to stay. When the pretty Marisol gets out of the stagecoach, Franco falls madly in love. Marisol is employed as a domestic servant by Captain Hernandez, who is married to the beautiful Consuelo. This in turn once had an affair with Don Ramon Coscos, in whose villa Franco and Ciccio are being held as suspected thieves. Ramon, in turn, is connected to Carmencita Benton from the warring other powerful family in the area.

The network of relationships leads to a family war that feeds more and more gunslingers and costs more and more. Hernandez finally lets Franco and Ciccio carry out a duel on the town's main street, in which he wants to shoot them both himself. The two heroes can prevent this by carrying tomato cans under their ponchos and escape to the States.
