Righteous Pigs was an American grindcore band. She combined American-style hardcore punk with grindcore, which originated in England .
history
The group was founded in 1987 by Mitch Harris in Las Vegas , Nevada . After two demos she signed the German independent label Nuclear Blast . In 1989 the debut album Live and Learn was released , on which Scott Leonard can still be heard on drums . A year later, the second album Stress Related was released . At that time, guitarist Mitch Harris was in correspondence with Mick Harris , drummer of Napalm Death , both musicians were already playing in the Defecation project . In late 1990, Mitch Harris became the second guitarist for Napalm Death and relocated to England . The band never officially broke up, but the remaining musicians went their own way after Harris moved away. Joe Caper later played with Frank Watkins from Obituary in the death metal band The Henchmen , which only released two demos. The Righteous Pigs' two studio albums were re-released on double CD in 2008 by Metal Mind Productions .
