Ricardo Canales (born May 30, 1982 in La Ceiba , Honduras ) is a Honduran football goalkeeper . The international is under contract with CD Motagua .

Career

Ricardo Canale began his career with CD Victoria , where he was under contract for five years and delivered such convincing performances that CD Motagua , one of the big clubs in the Honduran league, noticed him. Since joining in 2006, Canales has been the undisputed number one guardian of Motagua.

Ricardo Canales was always the third choice in the national team. He played his first international match on June 28, 2009 against Panama. At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa , he was in the Honduran squad, but was not used as expected.
