Vědomice (German Wiedomitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located one and a half kilometers north of Roudnice nad Labem on the Elbe and belongs to the Okres Litoměřice .
geography
The village is located on the right bank of the Elbe opposite the Raudnitzer Elbe island in the Elbe loop. The state road 240 between Roudnice nad Labem and Litoměřice passes east of the village . To the southeast lies the Raudnitzer Wehr and the Elbe Bridge.
Neighboring towns are Černěves and Zavadilka in the north, Kyškovice in the northeast, Dobříň in the east, Bezděkov in the southeast, Roudnice nad Labem in the south, Podlusky in the southwest and Židovice in the northwest.
history
Vědomice was first mentioned in a document in 1555 in an entry in the country table , in which it was also mentioned that the village, together with the Roudnice rule, passed to his son from the estate of Puta von Schwihau in 1505 .
Vědomice was on the other side of the stone bridge built at the time of Jan IV von Draschitz , which led across the Elbe into the Zálabí area. The village belonged to the rule Roudnice and was sold with her in 1577 to Wilhelm von Rosenberg . Via his widow Polyxena von Lobkowicz , the place came to the Lobkowicz , who remained its owner until the patrimonial rule was replaced in 1848.
