history

Černevo was first mentioned in a document in 1144 when the monastery Doksany was founded by Vladislav II. After the death of Ottokar II Přemysl , Otto IV of Brandenburg invaded with a Meissnian mercenary army in 1278 and besieged Klep Castle . The mercenaries caused great damage. Vilém Zajíc vom Waldeck was finally able to drive away the attackers. In 1334 the monastery sold the place to the Libochovic local judge Michal. From 1434 the place was called Černivo . Between 1453 and 1457 Ladislaus Postumus sold the villages of Chotěšov, Černiv and Vrbičany to Nikolaus Zajíc von Hasenburg. In 1562 Georg von Schleinitz on Tollenstein acquired the three villages through an exchange and pledged them to the Doksany monastery. In 1577 Nikolaus Zajíc bought the place back. From then on Černiv belonged to the rule Hasenburg and after their acquisition by the Lobkowitz in 1559 to the new rule Libochovice. Further owners of the place were from 1597 Sigismund Báthory , 1613 followed the Sternberger and from 1676 on Gundakar von Dietrichstein and his descendants. The parish was Chotěšov.

During the Thirty Years' War, Saxon troops looted and pillaged the place in 1631. In 1741 French troops marched into the place and plundered, in 1763 the same was done by the Prussians. In 1832 a cholera epidemic broke out.

After the abolition of patrimonial Černiv became a part of the municipality of Chotěšov in 1848. In 1852 the joint construction of the new rectory in Chotěšov began. The railway from Lovosice to Libochovice was established in 1882. In 1886 the place became an independent municipality, and in that year a memorial book was created. In March 1945, the Chotěšov train station was bombed by English planes, killing one and two seriously injured. In 1985 it was incorporated into Libochovice and since 1991 the village has been independent again.
