Prackovice nad Labem (German Praskowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers north of Lovosice on the Elbe and belongs to the Okres Litoměřice .
geography
The village is located on the left Elbe below the Porta Bohemica in the Bohemian Central Mountains . State road 30 and the railway between Lovosice and Ústí nad Labem run through Prackovice . To the north rises the 364 m high Výsluní with the Doerellova vyhlídka ( Doerell view), in the northwest the Debus (395 m), which is crossed by the Prackovice tunnel of the D8 motorway , and in the west the Kubačka (543 m). On the opposite bank of the Elbe are the Deblík (459 m) in the northeast and the 269 m high Hrádek mountain with the Kalvarie (Dreikreuzberg) in the southeast .
Neighboring towns are Dubice in the north, Radejčín in the northwest, Kletečná and Malá Chotiměř in the west, Dobkovičky in the southwest, Litochovice nad Labem in the south and on the other side of the Elbe Libochovany in the east.
history
Dolanky was first mentioned in a document in 1057 when Duke Spytihněv II founded the collegiate monastery of St. Stephen in Litoměřice .
An Elbe ferry previously operated to Libochovany, but this has been discontinued.
The route of the D8 motorway has been running west of the village at the foot of the Kubačka since 2016, after complaints and a landslide long delayed the completion of the last section of this motorway.
Local division
The municipality Prackovice nad Labem consists of the districts Litochovice nad Labem ( Lichtowitz ) and Prackovice nad Labem ( Praskowitz ), which at the same time also form cadastral districts.
