Lilium matangense is a plant type from the genus of lilies ( Lilium ) in the Asian section . It wasfirst describedby Jie Mei Xu in 1985.
description
Lilium matangense is a perennial , herbaceous plant and reaches a height of between 23 and 35 centimeters. The white onion is approximately egg-shaped with a diameter between 1 and 1.5 centimeters, the scales are lanceolate, between 2 and 2.5 centimeters long and 5 to 10 millimeters wide. The stem is pure green, finely papilous at the base , the roots grow just above the bulb. The linearly distributed leaves are between 6 and 11 centimeters long and 1 to 4 millimeters wide, single-nerved and finely papillary at the edges .
The species blooms with nodding single flowers in July. The lanceolate, 2.5 to 3.5 centimeters long and 5 to 7 millimeters wide bracts are white, tinged with light brown and sometimes mottled purple-brown.
The pale green and hairless ovary is 1 to 1.5 centimeters long and 2 millimeters wide, the stamens 1.2 to 1.5 centimeters and hairless. The oblong, round, yellow anthers are 4 to 5 millimeters long. The pale green stylus reaches a length between 1 and 1.3 centimeters.
distribution
The species is endemic to Barkam County in northwest Sichuan in the People's Republic of China. It grows there at altitudes between 3200 and 3300 m.
