In 1429, the episcopal administrator, Konrad von Zwole Straškov, passed on to Jan Firšic von Nabdín. Under the Firšic of Nabdín, the place was later attached to the Beškovice rule . In 1865 the school was established in Straškov and the village was the parish and school location for the surrounding villages.
On January 1, 1950, the immediately adjacent villages were merged to form the Straškov-Vodochody municipality , initially changing the name to the fantasy name Švermov .
