Esther Freudenberg
Esther Freudenberg (* 1968 ) is a German nurse and writer .
Life
Esther Freudenberg spent eight years of her childhood among indigenous peoples in the rainforest. When she was nine years old, she moved to Indonesia with her parents , who were missionaries there on behalf of the missionary organization “Worldwide Commitment to Christ” (WEC). During this time she attended English and Indonesian schools and was housed in some boarding schools. Back in Germany, she trained as a nurse . After a one-year short-term assignment in the West African Gambia , she attended a Bible school in Germany before continuing to work as a nurse.
She got involved in the youth work of the Free Evangelical Community (FeG) Giessen , where she met her husband. She began to write short stories and later novels for young people for her children as well as for volunteer work at children's services and at leisure. Since 2012, her books have been published by the evangelical publishing house "conception Seidel" from Hammerbrücke in the Saxon Vogtland.
Esther Freudenberg is married to her husband Martin. The couple lives in Osnabrück with their four children .
