The Club de Regatas Estrela Negra de Bolama ( Portuguese for "Regattaklub Schwarzer Stern von Bolama"), Estrela Negra de Bolama for short and rarely EN Bolama , is a sports club from the Guinea-Bissau city of Bolama . He is particularly known for his football section .
history
The association was founded in Bolama in 1937, until 1941 the capital of what was then the Portuguese colony of Portuguese Guinea. The club name and logo were chosen based on the Brazilian club Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama .
The club was re-established in 1975 after the country gained independence in 1974.
In 1979 the club won the national cup Taça Nacional da Guiné-Bissau .
In particular in the 2000s, the club rose several times in the first division, the Campeonato Nacional da Guiné-Bissau up and down again. Most recently, the club rose to the House of Lords in 2014 and relegated again in 2015. He is currently playing in Série A of the second division (as of the end of 2017).
