The Ethniki Ypiresia Pliroforion (EYP) ( Greek Εθνική Υπηρεσία Πληροφοριών (ΕΥΠ) , National Intelligence Service) is the civilian secret service of Greece .

The EYP's mission is to maintain national security. To this end, the service collects, analyzes and disseminates political, economic and military information from home and abroad. He is also active in counter-espionage and communication security.

The National Intelligence Service is subordinate to the Ministry of Citizens' Protection, which can appoint and dismiss the director of the EYP. The staff consists of civilian employees, academic staff and officers of the armed forces and the police .

The EYP was founded in 1953 as "Kentrikí Ypiresía Pliroforión", KYP (Central Intelligence Service) based on the American model and was strongly supported by the CIA in the founding phase . In 1986 the service was given its current name.
