Johann Baptist Renninger

Johann Baptist Renninger (born June 7, 1829 in Würzburg ; †  August 29, 1892 there ) was a German Catholic theologian .

Life

Renninger attended grammar school in Würzburg and then, after two years of studying law and philosophy, began studying theology at the University of Würzburg in 1849 , which he continued from 1851 to 1854 at the Collegium Germanicum in Rome . After his ordination in 1854 he was first a chaplain in Kitzingen and then from 1856 to 1879 teacher at the seminary in Würzburg, most recently (from 1865) as its director.

In 1879 Renniger became an honorary member of the Association of Scientific Catholic Student Associations Unitas .
