description

The Ethos Foundation brings together more than 220 pension funds and other tax-exempt institutions. It was founded in 1997 to promote sustainable investment and is committed to a stable and healthy economic environment that protects the interests of society as a whole over the long term. The Ethos Foundation is a foundation under Swiss law, the highest body of which is the Board of Trustees. The meeting of co-founders makes recommendations to the board of trustees, in particular with regard to the charter and the articles of association.

To achieve its goals, the Ethos Foundation founded the company Ethos Services. This specializes in sustainable investments (Socially Responsible Investment, SRI) and is primarily aimed at institutional investors. Ethos Services is owned by the Ethos Foundation and 17 of its members. The general assembly elects the board of directors, which in turn appoints and controls the management. Ethos Services currently employs around 20 people in its offices in Geneva (headquarters) and Zurich.

The Ethos Académie is open to private individuals who wish to support Ethos' activities. This non-profit and tax-exempt association was launched in 2012 by the Ethos Foundation and currently has around 200 members. Ethos Académie conducts awareness-raising activities in the field of sustainable investments. Its board of directors consists of five members, two of whom are appointed by the Ethos Foundation and three are elected by the General Assembly of Members.

Ethos is a member, among other things, of the sponsoring association for the corporate responsibility initiative .
