FC Étoile Sporting La Chaux-de-Fonds is a Swiss football club from the city of La Chaux-de-Fonds . The club emerged in 1934 from the merger of FC Étoile, founded in 1898, and FC Sporting-Dulcia. FC Étoile were Swiss champions in 1919, runners-up in 1912 and in 1922 they made it to the final of the Och-Cup, a forerunner of today's Swiss Cup. The playground is Les Foulets . Local rivals are FC La Chaux-de-Fonds, who won three championships in the 1950s.

FC Étoile became a member of the Swiss Football Association in 1902 and played in Serie C from there. The club rose to Serie A in 1909 and became Swiss champions in football in the 1918/19 season . After relegation in 1932 and relegation from the second division in 1934, FC Étoile and FC Sporting-Dulcia merged to form FC Étoile Sporting. From 1944 bis 1946 and 1949 bis 1953 the club again in the second-rate was National League B . Before last season, the club withdrew from match operations because the Terrain des Eplatures stadium no longer met the requirements and no funds could be raised to remedy the situation.
