Eugen Büchner

Eugen Büchner Russian Евгений Александрович Бихнер (born March 20 . Jul / 1. April  1861 greg. In Saint Petersburg , † 1913 ) was a German-Russian zoologist.

The future zoologist Büchner was born in St. Petersburg and attended the Reformed School there. He then studied from 1879 to 1883 at the University of Saint Petersburg . From 1883 he worked at the Academy of Sciences as a scholarship holder of the Zoological Museum. His writing The Birds of the St. Petersburg Governorate was awarded a prize by the St. Petersburg Society of Naturalists.
