Eugen Meyn

Eugen Meyn (born July 11, 1849 in Altona ; † October 12, 1926 ) was a German lawyer .

After studying law , Meyn became a court assessor in 1878 and a district judge in Heide in 1878/79. After he was promoted to government assessor in agricultural administration five years later, he was appointed special commissioner in Neumünster in 1884 and a councilor in 1885/86. In 1887 he was finally general commissioner in Münster. In 1892 he was promoted to the higher regional culture judge , only one year later he was appointed senior administrative judge and in 1896 he was appointed imperial judge. In 1910 he was appointed President of the Senate of the Second Civil Senate of the Reich Court . For eleven years he was chairman of the III. Civil Senate before he retired in 1923. He advocated judicial legal training taking into account the needs of life.
