Eulenspiegel Museum in Mölln

The Eulenspiegel Museum is a small folk and local history collection in Mölln and was set up in 1996 as an independent department of the Mölln Museum in a half-timbered house , an old town house from 1582, on Markt 2, opposite the historic town hall . It was previously renovated for this new exhibition purpose.

As Eulenspiegelstadt, Mölln wants to use this museum to illustrate the special relationship with Till Eulenspiegel : Histories 91 to 96 take place in this city.Eulenspiegel died in Mölln in 1350 in the Spital Zum Heiligen Geist , a memorial stone on the Church of Sankt Nicolai reminds of this.

The museum provides information on the development of Till Eulenspiegel since the first known publication of the popular book in 1510/11. Both the local tradition, which is associated with Till Eulenspiegel, and the artistic engagement in literature, painting and sculpture are shown.

It has not yet emerged scientifically, and there are no inventory lists. It is a popular family-oriented tourist destination in the region.

Since December 1, 2009, the museum has also installed a Till TV on the occasion of a redesign of the permanent exhibition .
