Euphemia of Kiev

Euphemia of Kiev († April 4, 1139 ) was Queen of Hungary.

Euphemia of Kiev was born as the daughter of Grand Duke Vladimir II Vsevoloditsch Monomachus of Kiev. In 1104 she married the Hungarian King Koloman I from the house of the Arpaden, after his first wife Felizia of Sicily had died two years earlier after five years of marriage. The couple had been married for twelve years and had a son, Boris Konrad (* approx. 1131). Boris Konrad became a pretender of Byzantium and was married to Anna Dukaina, daughter of Konstantin Dukas Sebastos. Their son Koloman was governor of Cilicia and founded the Kalomannoi dynasty in Byzantium. King Koloman died in 1116, his wife survived him by 23 years.
