According to legendary tradition, Euprepius (also: Euprepus ) was the first bishop of Verona .

The name of Euprepius appears in the Martyrologium Romanum and in the 9th century in the so-called Pippinlied, which contains a list of the first eight bishops of Verona from Euprepius to Zenon. While Zeno , who lived in the 4th century, is considered a historical person, the historical existence of his alleged predecessors cannot be proven. According to legend, Euprepius was appointed by Peter . In 1492 the bones of Euprepius are said to have been found in the church of St. Proculus in Verona, and have been venerated there as relics ever since. The saint's feast day is August 21 .
