EuroCom

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The EuroKom ( European Communication Skills ), (English Eurocom ), is part of the final exam in English or French, which is carried out in the 10th grade at secondary schools and community schools in Baden-Württemberg .

It consists of the following parts:

  • Presentation of a topic of your choice, which must be given in English or French (10 points)
  • Listening comprehension test (5 points)
  • situational-communicative tasks (10 points)

The EuroKom counts half of the remaining part of the final examination in English or French. It takes at least 15 minutes per student and up to 25 points can be achieved. Points are awarded for language, but also for the ability to respond to questions. It is tested individually, with the listening comprehension test being divided into two parts of equal length. The situational-communicative tasks are mostly carried out in partner work. The presentation is always given individually as the students choose different topics. The examination board consists of its own subject teacher and another teacher from the English or French department.

From the 2020/21 school year, the exams will take place in a new form.
