The Eurobike is an international trade fair for everything to do with bicycles and electric bicycles . It has been held every year since 1991 at the beginning of September on the grounds of Messe Friedrichshafen . Before the Interbike in Las Vegas and the Taipei Cycle Show in Taiwan, it is the world's largest trade fair in the bicycle sector. In 2016, there were 77,100 visitors from over 100 countries at Eurobike. Approx. 1400 exhibitors offer goods and services related to the bicycle sector
history
- First founded in 1991 on the initiative of some manufacturers from the emerging mountain bike sector as a pure mountain bike fair and initially ridiculed in the established specialist industry.
- Organized from 1991 to 2001 on the old exhibition grounds at Riedlewald
- Eurobike has been taking place on the new exhibition grounds in the Friedrichshafen Airport industrial park since 2002.
- In 2007 the trade fair will be expanded to include the Demo Day in Argenbühl.
- In 2008 the international two-wheeler fair IFMA in Cologne gives up. The Eurobike slips into first place
- The fair will be expanded from 2012 and can now also be reached via the new east feeder road and the new EAST fair entrance.
- In 2014 Demoday will take place in Friedrichshafen for the first time.
- In 2016, Messe-FN is expanding the range of visitor days to include Saturday and Sunday
- In 2017, the Messe-FN announced that the visitor days would be reduced to one day and that they would be canceled entirely in 2018
- 2019 The fair moves back to the beginning of September. The original trade fair concept with 3 trade visitor days and one end consumer day was also reactivated
Trends and tendencies
While major labels have stayed away from the world's leading trade fair since 2015 and succumb to the trend of their own in-house exhibitions, the exhibitor pressure from the e-bike sector is increasing significantly.
Date and opening times
The trade fair takes place in the first week of September.
Business days
The days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9 am to 6 pm are reserved for trade visitors. Planned date: 2. – 5. September 2020
Public days
While the weekdays Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are reserved for trade visitors only, Saturday is dedicated to end consumers.
DEMO Days / DEMO Area
From 2007 to 2015, EUROBIKE organized a DEMO DAY before the trade fair days. Since 2016 there has been a DEMO area on all days of the fair on several test tracks for life testing of numerous test bikes.

Accessible via the B30: Ravensburg, Meckenbeuren, Kehlen turn right on K7725, Hirschlatt-Messekreisel on K7726 to the east entrance to the exhibition center.

Accessible via the B31: Meersburg, Hagnau, Fischbach, Friedrichshafen, exit Messe-FN
From the east
