aims
The goals of the organization are:
- the interests of its members (associations and societies) who are active in the field of extraction, trading and distribution of natural gas and in related areas - such as the storage and liquefaction of natural gas.
- to promote the importance of natural gas in Europe with regard to technical, economic and legal aspects as well as the cooperation between the parties involved.
- to ensure the smooth functioning of the European gas market and to take a stand on issues relevant to the European gas industry, especially with regard to international and supranational organizations and public opinion.
organs
The organs are the general secretariat based in Brussels, the governing board and the general assembly, which meets twice a year, as well as ad hoc task groups.
Members
Members are companies in the gas industry from the EU, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey. All important "players" within the EU are represented, so u. a. the French GDF SUEZ and EdF , the British BP , the Italian ENI , from Germany RWE and E.ON / Ruhrgas and from Austria OMV .
