The Eurogress Aachen is a congress and event center as well as a company of the city of Aachen . It is managed as a commercial operation (BGA). Together with the Parkhotel Quellenhof and the Neuen Kurhaus Aachen , the Eurogress is located on the edge of the city center in a large park area, the Stadtgarten Aachen .

Three halls are available under one roof:

  • Europa Hall up to 1,700 seats
  • Berlin hall up to 650 seats (can be divided into three segments)
  • Brussels Hall up to 480 seats

as well as 11 conference rooms with 10 to 520 seats.

In addition, there is around 3,000 m² of exhibition space and the 40,000 m² Bendplatz where u. a. the Öcher Bend festival takes place twice a year.

The event rooms in the Tivoli in Aachen have been marketed by Eurogress since 2014 . The premises in the Tivoli Business area are suitable for social events, meetings and seminars.

Building history

The congress center was built in place of the foyer, which was damaged in World War II and not rebuilt. On February 5, 1975, the city council of Aachen passed the resolution to build a new city hall. The construction project was estimated at 46.5 million DM . The congress center, designed according to plans by the architect Erwin Schiffer , was inaugurated on September 4, 1977. The associated Eurogress car park has around 600 parking spaces.

Between 1998 and 2014 the house built by the Aachen-based construction company Grünzig GmbH was completely renovated in stages. The event technology was and is constantly being renewed and kept up to date. Today the Eurogress has the most modern communication and event technologies.

The rooms, their equipment and the acoustics allow events of all genres to be held. Congresses, conferences and seminars, trade fairs and exhibitions accompanying congresses, concerts of serious and popular music, theater and cabaret performances, musicals, balls and carnival events, sales exhibitions, film screenings and flea markets are regularly carried out by many different organizers.

The house is the venue for the symphony orchestra of the Aachen City Theater and the master concerts of the Meisterkonzerte Aachen GmbH. The focus of the congresses and meetings is in the technical and medical-scientific area, often in cooperation with the RWTH Aachen . Conferences accompanying exhibitions, parties, flea markets and trade fairs usually take place in the approximately 3000 m² foyer area. The nationally known carnival event awarding the order against seriousness takes place every year in Eurogress and is broadcast by ARD on public television.
