Hans Siemons

Hans Siemons (* 1930 ; † September / October 2006 ) was a German journalist .

After graduating from the Kaiser-Karls-Gymnasium in Aachen , Siemons studied German , history , philosophy and journalism . He worked early on in the editorial team of the Aachener Volkszeitung , where he became head of the political editorial department and most recently deputy editor-in-chief . From 1969 to 1984 he was editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine Weltbild .

From 1979 until his death he worked for the magazine G / Geschichte , where his articles under the heading “Experienced History” established the connection between historical locations and today's locations.

In retirement, Hans Siemons also wrote a number of papers in which he dealt in particular with the history of his hometown Aachen . He made particular merits by updating Bernhard Poll's main work, Aachen's history in data .
