The Europäische Bibliothek Verlag is a Dutch book publisher based in Someren -Eind. He deals with the publication of illustrated books with local-historical views of cities, villages and subject areas from European countries and in their languages ​​/ dialects.

history

Founded in 1961 in 's-Gravenzande (Westland), it was officially registered as a publisher on January 3, 1963. In the following year, Zaltbommel was chosen as the publisher's location. In 1981 the company moved to Nijmegen an der Waalkade; A camp remained at the address Zaltbommel. Since 2006 the head office of the publishing house has been in Someren-Eind.

Publishing series

Since the founding of the Europäische Bibliothek Verlag, it has mainly published illustrated books with a local historical background. In 1966 the publishing house began with the series "The Damals Series" and the subtitle "in old views". This was followed by the other, albeit in smaller numbers, subtitles: “Do you still know her” and “In grandmother's time”.

With around 5800 titles in eleven European languages ​​and dialects so far, “The Damals Series” has become the world's most extensive book series of its kind.

Identification mark

The publisher's logo is based on Greek mythology and depicts Europe riding the bull .
