Gustav Schliemann

Gustav Arnold Engelbert Schliemann (born August 10, 1841 in Ribnitz , † December 20, 1873 in Leipzig ) was a German actor .

Life

Born as the son of Domanialamtsarzt Ernst Schliemann (1803–1872), Schliemann attended the Katharineum grammar school in Lübeck until graduation at Easter 1861 and then studied Protestant theology at the universities of Bonn , Rostock , Erlangen and Berlin . During his studies in 1861 he became a member of the Alemannia Bonn fraternity . He also worked as a private tutor and took acting lessons from Anton Schwarz .

He made his first stage experiences at the Berlin Liebhabertheater Urania . In 1869 he was engaged at the Meiningen court stage and then went to the Mainz City Theater . From 1871 to 1873 he was at the Leipzig City Theater .
