The Ellis Mano Band is a Swiss blues rock band around singer Chris Ellis and guitarist Edis Mano.

Band history

The band is an association of experienced musicians who have made a name for themselves in the Swiss music scene, mostly in the background. Chris Ellis, whose real name is Christian Ertl, comes from Freiamt and studied music. He works as a music teacher and has been a long-time member of the a-cappella group a-live . Edis Mano was first a sought-after sound engineer before he became the accompanist guitarist for the dialect singer Kunz in early 2010 and stayed for six years. In addition to the two heads, the band also includes drummer Nico Looser and bassist Severin Graf. Both are experienced studio and session musicians who have already worked internationally with artists such as Max Mutzke , Stefan Raab and Tracy Chapman . In particular, Ellis and Mano wanted to start their own project in addition to their work with others and therefore founded the Ellis Mano Band in 2017.

In March 2018 the quartet released the first single Whiskey and later that year the song Here and Now . It also became the theme song of the debut album, which was released in May 2019. With the album, they went straight to number 8 on the Swiss charts .
