One focus of activity is the "EISA Integrated Agriculture System". Other activities include a. intensive participation in European stakeholder dialogues and workshops as well as public relations measures for integrated agriculture at European level.

EISA Integrated Agriculture System

A first draft of a European definition and description of integrated agriculture was presented by EISA in July 2003. After a draft revised in November 2005 in exchange with various experts and associations, the complete paper was published in September 2006. According to EISA, the Integrated Agriculture System is a holistic and dynamic guideline; therefore the members have decided to revise and update the paper regularly. Updated versions have since been presented in September 2009 and February 2012. Integrated agriculture is characterized in this detailed model as a sustainable production system that allows farmers to optimize their cultivation for the good of the environment, for economic success and with regard to their social responsibility and thus to meet three essential requirements of sustainable development.
