The European Journalist Award is an Austrian award for television productions.

History of the price

Since 1994 the Austrian Journalists Club ÖJC has participated in the international local television film festival “Golden Beggar” in Košice . Since 1999 , the ÖJC has been awarding the European Journalist Prize for excellent TV documentaries in the field of independent TV broadcasters in Central Europe at irregular intervals .

There are no guidelines for the price. The decision of who will be awarded the prize is made by the respective jury of the festival. Only material prizes are awarded.
