The European Appaloosa pony is a breed of horse whose breeding is operated by the ECHA-ESV. The breeding goal is a size of up to 1.42 m and the following colors: tiger piebald , black tiger , snowflake , few spot and varnish roan .

The breed has spotted skin on the mouth ( toad mouth ) and eyes, striped hooves, and white unpigmented skin around the eyes.

The head is typical of a pony with large, expressive eyes, the neck of sufficient length is arched. The shoulder is sloping sufficiently with enough belt depth. The not too long back has a loin area and a long croup . As a refiner of the breed are Arabian , Quarter Horse , Appaloosa , Welsh Pony and Shetland Pony admitted.

The breed is used as a driving and riding pony in all disciplines (breeding, show, leisure). The European Appaloosa pony has a balanced character, is very willing to perform and persevering, has a good temperament and is very willing to learn.
