Network of European competition authorities

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The network of European competition authorities ( European Competition Network , ECN for short ) is a forum to which all antitrust authorities of the member states of the European Union as well as the antitrust department of the European Commission belong. The purpose of the ECN is to be able to take action against cartels more effectively .

The ECN is to be distinguished from the union of the European Competition Authorities (ECA).

The ECN is not an authority or institution of the European Union, but merely serves to assign cartel law cases to the appropriate cartel authorities and to exchange information.

Problems arise within the ECN especially with regard to bonus regulations , as these are not yet uniformly regulated for all member states.
