European Pediatric Surgeons Association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The European Pediatric Surgeons Association (EUPSA) is the pan-European professional association of pediatric surgeons that was founded in 2003 . It also accepts members outside the EU countries and even outside the European subcontinent.

Goal setting

According to the statutes, the task of the medical society is to promote and organize the further development of research, contacts and the exchange of experience across states.

According to its press releases, a particular concern of the company is internal non- commercialism (“low budget” and “non profit”) as an ethos and rule. This is to enable paediatricians from all countries, including poorer countries, to have the opportunity to join the EUPSA and use its resources for their work.

Current development

Just one year after it was founded, the EUPSA had over 500 members in 30 European and non-European countries.
