European Piano Teachers Association

The European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA) is the continental umbrella organization of keyboard teachers in Europe and serves the educational, scientific and artistic promotion of piano playing.

EPTA was founded in 1978 by Carola Grindea in London , which is also where the headquarters are located. Today there are sections in almost all European countries; Associated are also organizations in Brazil , Canada , India , Argentina and Chile . The president of the EPTA is the president of a national section in an annually changing rotation (analogous to the EU ), all other section presidents are vice-presidents at the same time.

The central information organ is the EPTA Journal, which appears three times a year.
