European Schoolnet ( European School Network ) is a network of 34 European education ministries based in Brussels . It was established in 1997. Germany participates in observer status, Switzerland is represented as a member by Educa.ch .
As a non-profit network, the main activities include three strategic areas:
- Provide specific, scientifically proven data in the field of education innovation on which to base policy recommendations
- Support of schools and teachers in their teaching practice
- Developing and maintaining a network of schools that deal with innovative teaching and learning approaches
An “eminent” conference (Expert Meeting in Education Networking) takes place every year. at European Schoolnet brings together its network of ministries of education, the European Commission , educational actors and industrial partners
- to explore the state of European innovation at school level
- to provide an open platform for different actors to share their good practices and ideas
- To recommend basics to implement the innovation culture at school level
