Eva-Maria Siegel

Eva-Maria Siegel (born October 12, 1957 in Sonneberg ) is a German literary scholar.

Life

From 1980 to 1985 she studied literature and art at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . From 1985 to 1991 she was a research assistant at the Central Institute for the History of Literature at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR . After her habilitation from 1996 to 2002, Lise Meitner scholarship holder in Cologne , she taught there from 2002 to 2007 as a private lecturer . She has been an adjunct professor there since 2007 .

Her main research interests are the aesthetics of cosmopolitanism in novels, literature and diversity in modern times and literary history from 1800 to the present, in particular spatial representations and travel literature.
