Eva Stachniak

Eva Stachniak (born November 27, 1952 in Wrocław ) is a writer living in Canada .

Eva Stachniak has lived in Canada since 1981. From 1984 to 1986 she worked for Radio Canada International . From 1988 to 2007 she taught English and the humanities at Sheridan College. She won the Books in Canada First Novel Award in 2000 with her debut novel Necessary Lies . Her second novel, Garden of Venus , has been translated into seven languages. Eva Stachniak lives in Toronto .
