Beyenburg Evangelical Church

The Evangelical Church of Beyenburg is a church building in Beyenburg , a district of Wuppertal . It is the center of the Beyenburg-Laaken parish. The community has 2442 members (spring 2008) after the two communities in Beyenburg and Laaken merged in 2003 .

The church was built in 1865/66. A wooden church had already been built eight years earlier. The first Protestant Christians in the village existed as early as the 17th century, but the Protestant community of Beyenburg was only founded on the 2nd Advent in 1854.

The building has been a listed building since 1984. One of the more than 50 cemeteries in Wuppertal is located at the church .
