The Schlebusch Evangelical Church ("On the Blue Mountain") is a Protestant church in the Schlebusch district of Leverkusen . It is the seat of the parish of the same name in the Evangelical Church District of Leverkusen .

history

The first service of the Protestant Christians from Schlebusch took place on December 17, 1846 in private rooms. The first church was consecrated on December 13, 1853 on a donated plot of land on the street “Am Blaue Berg”. Due to the ever increasing number of parishioners, the church was enlarged in 1892 and 1913. The great war damage to the church was repaired in 1946 and 1947. After the entire spire was removed in 1951, the roof and the belfry could be completely replaced.
