Registration center

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The registration center is the registration office of the Deutsche Bundesbank , to which credit and financial services institutions as well as financial companies must report large loans quarterly according to Art. 394 Capital Adequacy Ordinance and according to § 14 KWG million loans as part of their reporting system .

In return, the credit institutions receive feedback files from the Bundesbank, on which the total utilization of the borrowers or borrower units at all German banks (insofar as it concerns loans in the millions) and their foreign subsidiaries is indicated.

The primary objective of quarterly reporting is to provide lenders with up-to-date information on borrowers' debt levels. In addition, the quarterly reports from the banking supervisory authority provide an indispensable insight into the banks' current credit risks, particularly in the event of a financial crisis.

For the clear assignment of borrowers, the Bundesbank issues unique borrower numbers and borrower unit numbers, under which the registration report is made.

If several legal or natural persons represent a borrower unit , there is not only feedback for the respective natural or legal person, but also for the group.
