Evolution Aircraft is an American manufacturer of aircraft kits for general aviation . The company's headquarters are located at Redmond Municipal Airport in Redmond , Oregon . The only product is the Lancair Evolution .

history

Evolution Aircraft is a successor to the US aircraft manufacturer Lancair . In July 2016 Lancair announced that it would sell all assets except for the Lancair Evolution in order to be able to concentrate on the production of this one model in the future. On February 8th, Evolution Aircraft, founded in August 2016, sold all manufacturing equipment and documents, with the exception of those for the Lancair Evolution, to Mark Huffstutler and his son Conrad.

In the course of 2017, Evolution Aircraft presented further versions of the Lancair Evolution with different engines.

In November 2017, CEO Bob Wolstenholme announced that the company was in a minor crisis and was looking for investors. The reasons for this are delays in delivery of some components and the cancellation of two larger orders. The future of the company is not endangered.
