ex ante
Ex ante ( Latin for "from before") is a legal term used to describe an assessment from an earlier point of view. It eliminates processes that run later that could not be known at an earlier point in time. Consideration ex ante , translated “in advance”, contrasts with consideration ex post (“in retrospect”).
In evaluations and surveys, ex-ante examinations (also known as ex-ante examinations or ex-ante analyzes) define the state before a measure and thus examine the initial situation in order to be able to make early statements about subsequent behavior. In systems theory there are ex ante predefined sizes (plan sizes) that are to be achieved.
