Exaltasamba is a Brazilian pagoda from São Bernardo do Campo , São Paulo . Exaltasamba is one of the most important and well-known music groups of this style.

Career

Exaltasamba was founded in São Bernardo do Campo in the 1980s, where they initially played in the bars and dance halls of the southeast suburb of São Paulo. Your musical style is indicated as follows:

In 1992 they released their first album Eterno Amanhecer and landed their first hit with "Quero Sentir de Novo". Encanto followed two years later and the first appearances on radio stations and TV channels. The song "24 Horas de Amor" was then played on all Rodas de Samba. In 1996 the album Luz do Desejo came out and sold 750,000 copies. In 1997, EMI's fourth album Desliga e Vem surpassed all previous sales with over a million in less than six months. The Cartão Postal album even 1.25 million. The song “Eu Me Apaixonei Pela Pessoa Errada” was the most played radio hit in Brazil from January to February 1999. In 2006 Exaltasamba recorded their 11th album and their first DVD Todos os Sambas Ao vivo, followed in 2007 by Ao Vivo Pagode do Exalta. Ao Vivo Na Ilha Da Magia was recorded in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina State, Exaltasamba - 25 Anos Ao Vivo in 2010 at the Estádio Parque Antártica in São Paulo. In June 2011 the most famous musician of the group Thiaguinho announced his resignation during the TV show Domingão do Faustão. The rest of the group announced that Exaltasamba would be retiring for a period to look after the families and pursue private ends. Exaltasamba has won a large audience of all ages in 25 years of her musical career and with ten million CDs sold. They were the only samba group that recorded a DVD in a football stadium and gave concerts on a cruise ship with Roberto Carlos , whose tickets had sold out months earlier. Together with Roberto Carlos, Exaltasamba also sang a Christmas special, which was broadcast all over Brazil . In addition, the group has a special New Year's Eve program on TV Bandeirantes. Exaltasamba also has its own carnival block called Exaltamaníacos. Her greatest successes include hits such as “Deus é Brasileiro”, “Quero Sentir de Novo”, “24 Horas de Amor”, “Telegrama”, “Luz do Desejo”, “É você”, “Eu Me Apaixonei Pela Pessoa” Errada ”,“ Livre pra Voar ”and many others.

On February 22nd, 2012 the music group gave their last show in the Riocentro of Rio de Janeiro. On March 20, 2016, she returned with a changed line-up, announced in 2015, with a show at the Bulls Club in São Paulo.
