eXcubitors is a German synth-pop band.
history
eXcubitors was founded in 2006 by the three brothers Sascha, Stephan and Thomas Viereck. The word eXcubitors is an art term and arose from the word eXcubitor, which has Latin origins and means something like guardian.
The single The Prophecy was the first work that was published by eXcubitors.
On December 7, 2007, the first official album with the title Resurrection from Ruins followed . Anne Wagner (Obsc (Y) re) and Aestetic Idiosyncras also contributed y vocal features on the album .
The album was placed in the German electronic web charts ( GEWC ) for a few weeks .
The second studio album, Operation Observation , followed on April 30, 2009. Thomas Viereck could no longer work on the eXcubitors project due to lack of time and so Sascha and Stephan Viereck produced the new album without him.
The hit bug in the system was in the GEWC for several months . The song Isolated was remixed by the famous band Lost Area and is also on Operation Observation .
Both albums were released on the Luk-o-tyk Records label by Rough Trade .
After a creative break of 5 years, the third studio album with the title Wächter followed at the end of December 2014 . The publication ran entirely on the in-house label 4eck-Studios.
At the end of 2016, Stephan and Sascha Viereck won a new comrade in the musician and singer Ronny Strehmann from Berlin. In addition to Stephan Viereck, he takes on a large part of the vocal parts.
In February 2017, the first new joint work was created under the name Proud Leaders . This marked the start of work on album number 4. On June 23, 2017, the song Unperson and the official video followed.
