Existential Analysis is an international journal for psychotherapy, counseling and coaching.

The publication is the scientific organ of the International Society for Logotherapy and Existential Analysis based in Vienna. The basic aim of the magazine is to further develop the content of existential analysis and logotherapy as well as to show and reflect the possible applications and their areas.

The focus is on the publication of original papers, overview articles, project reports, case studies, conference contributions, discussions and technical letters (letters to the editor) with reference to research, anthropology and the practice of recent existential analysis. It is published every six months, with a specific thematic volume being published in the first half of the year and a congress report with contributions from the previous annual congress in the second half of the year .

The journal is published by GLE-International . The editors are currently headed by Emmanuel Bauer (scientific management), Silvia Längle and Astrid Görtz (operational management). Technical support is provided by a 30-strong scientific advisory board.

The journal archive is accessible online. Current editions can be accessed for a fee, all older articles are freely available 18 months after publication.

The existential analysis is listed in the journal databases PSYNDEX (ZPID) and SCOPUS (Elsevier).

The journal appeared from 1985 to 1994 as a bulletin of the Society for Logotherapy and Existential Analysis ( ISSN  0258-5383 ) and has been published since 1995 under the current name Existential Analysis .
