Expertocracy

Expertocracy is an artificial word and means the rule or interpretive sovereignty of experts or experts. It can be understood as a collective term for z. B .:

Decisions reserved for democratic institutions and organs are delegated to experts.

Criticism is expressed against this approach insofar as that in some niches, such as criminal prosecution, certain interest groups are not represented or only to a lesser extent, whereas the "experts" can exert a strong influence on democratic processes.
