Explosion pressure

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under explosion pressure is defined as the determined under specified conditions pressure , which in a closed space in the explosion occurs in a potentially explosive environment at a certain composition. The explosion pressures are referred to as excess pressures in relation to atmospheric pressure (1 bar).

Expected explosion pressure

The explosion pressure to be expected is the maximum pressure that can occur in a part of the system with an implemented protection concept (taking into account the given systems , processes and all operating parameters and conditions). The expected explosion pressure cannot be higher than the maximum explosion pressure , unless there is a pressure in the system that is higher than normal pressure (1 bar).

Maximum explosion pressure

The maximum explosion pressure denotes the highest determined explosion pressure under the conditions given above.
