The Explosion Protection Product Ordinance (11th ProdSV) implements the directive 2014/34 / EU for the harmonization of the legal provisions of the member states for devices and protective systems for the intended use in potentially explosive areas according to the new version of the significantly changed European ATEX product directive 94/9 / EC into German law. It regulates the placing on the market of new devices and protective systems for the intended use in potentially explosive areas. The prerequisite for placing on the market is that the manufacturer

  • marks the devices and protective systems with the CE mark ,
  • issues a declaration of conformity,
  • has complied with the basic safety requirements.

This regulation is based on Section 8 (1) of the Product Safety Act (ProdSG).
