The Extraliga házené is the top division in Czech men's handball . It has been organized by the Czech Handball Federation ( Česky Svaz Házené ) since the 2005/06 season .
mode
Twelve teams take part in the main round. You play the placements in the first and second round in the mode everyone-against-everyone. In the championship round, the best six teams play each-against-everyone from the Czech champions back and forth. The six worst teams in the main round play the two relegated teams in the relegation round in the same mode.
The champion is allowed to participate in the EHF European Cup in the following season .
