Advancement award for jewelry of the state capital Munich

The Bavarian State Capital of Munich's jewelry advancement prize has been awarded biennially since 2011 for an artistically outstanding achievement or unusual artistic position in the field of jewelry.

The current performance and previous work of the artist are decisive for the assessment. Only artists who live in Munich or the Munich region or whose work is closely linked to Munich's cultural life are eligible for the sponsorship award. A personal application is not possible. A commission, to be convened every two years by the city council, consisting of specialist jurors and members of the city council, has the right to make proposals. It is endowed with 6000 euros.

The prize jewelry, together with the sponsorship architecture , the Foundation Art , the Award Design and the Award Photography awarded. A separate jury is set up for each area. Works by all of the artists proposed by the jury will each be shown in an exhibition in the Lothringer13 municipal art gallery.
