Poor Council (Vienna)

A poor council of the city of Vienna was a commissioner of the Vienna city council for affairs of the poor in a certain district of Vienna in the period from the second half of the 19th century up to the First World War .

The poor council looked after the poor, distributed donations and, for example, issued poverty certificates.

During the First Republic , the name was changed to "Welfare Council".
